Summer Tanager

Took a quick stroll to clear my head during work. Deadlines tend to fry the synapses.

I heard a call and then noticed an interesting profile up in the branches which prompted me to run back and get the camera, hoping it would stick to the same area for a few minute longer.

It stayed but did not make for easy photo opportunities. I did manage to grab a couple of shots.



Aha! A Summer Tanager. Nice to see at anytime.



After checking with folks more knowing than myself it turns out to be a second-year male. Nice.
